Job Description
A Cybersecurity Instructor is responsible for developing and using effective teaching strategies to educate students of abilities on the subject of cybersecurity. These professionals may work at training institutions, undergraduate or graduate level, or assist in research in their specialism. By educating others on aspects of cybersecurity, Instructors in HICS Academy act as an ambassador for the Cyber security industry.
Responsibilities
  • Preparing and equipping students in the best possible way to pursue or develop their cybersecurity careers with confidence and purpose.
  • Designing, developing & delivering courses to meet learning outcomes and promote students' participation.
  • Creating an effective learning environment that fosters students' intellectual curiosity.
  • Contributing to and providing leadership in academic and professional communities.
  • Being an active member of the cyber security faculty
  • Pursuing high quality research in cyber security.
  • Enhancing students’ links with industry professionals to enable knowledge exchange.
Required Skills/Characteristics
  • Ability to lecture physically or virtually in any of the following subject areas
    • Ethical Hacking
    • Digital Forensics
    • Open Source Intelligence
    • Information Security Management
    • Cloud Security
  • Certification in any of the following 
    • CompTIA Sec+, Pentest+, CySA+, CASP+, Cloud+
    • CISSP
    • CISM
  • At least 2 years experience in Teaching, Presentation or Lecturing
